About Maurtius

about mauritius

Why fly some 5000 miles over sea and continents to an island in the middle of the Indian Ocean? The answer is in the mysterious logo of Mauritius: ‘Star and Key of the Indian Ocean’. Never mind who invented the descriptive. This is an island state with some magic for whoever travels there. Rightly so, it is a ‘star country’ to visit. Luck has something to do with the success story of a volcanic rock once inhabited. Once you are back home, some of the stardust clings on. Your friends and colleagues can’t hide their jealousy… Newly married couples like Mauritius; lately, the retired find some peace and make new friends over longer stays. The history of the island as well as the population somehow justify the term ‘key’. But you need more than one visit to ‘unlock’ the charming effect and understand the power of seduction of a multicultural island in the Indian Ocean with a unique appeal. Book a flight and pack your luggage. Head for Albion and Studios Mango…

About Albion

about albion

If you like a combination of crowded beach and all-day excitement, go to Flic-en-Flac or Grand’Baie. However, if you would prefer a peaceful residential area next to a popular public beach, ideal for a promenade and a picnic, then Albion is the place for you. Albion is located on the west coast, only 30 minutes’ drive from the capital, Port-Louis and Flic-en-Flac. Without any fuss, the affluent and the less fortunate cohabit in Albion. There is a fairly good bus service and you can find any product in the self-service shops. The lighthouse that guided the ships to the harbour is still operational in Albion. You may sail out to sea for the day or chat for long minutes with friendly local residents. Surely, there must be a reason why Albion is the locality with the fastest growing number of inhabitants in Mauritius. There must also be a reason why foreign residents and locals live on the same quiet road as Studio Mango.

The client's profile

seniors

Studio Mango had been designed for short-term visitors from abroad. Local tenants insisted upon enjoying the facilities. They tend to be single elderly individuals. One exception: one of the latest tenants was younger: a lady who had just been through a divorce… Another profile: this older lady occupied one of the studios with her grand child who looked after her. In all cases, if what you want is peaceful living and security while you remain close to plants and the soil, Studio Mango is for you. You may drive your own car. There is a private parking inside the metal gates. Walking is the preferred exercise. To the shop, to the supermarket, to the public beach. This said, one of the occupiers keeps fit by cycling in the streets of Albion… An added bonus: you are never totally alone. One gate up the road, assistance is available for any emergency…
